Who We Are

Green Growth Program

The Green Growth Program Indonesia is implemented jointly by the Government of Indonesia (GoI) and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) through the Ministry of National Development Planning/The National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), involving related national and sub-national governments. Currently, the Green Growth Program is in Phase III (2021-2025), having successfully gone through Phase I (2013-2015) and Phase II (2016-2019).

Since 2013, GoI and GGGI have been working in close collaboration to promote green growth and principles among government and the private sector. Green Growth is concerned not only with the rate of economic growth, but also with its quality, namely the ability of growth to deliver multiple economic, social, and environmental benefits that improve the quality of people's lives across all segments of society.

GGGI works collaboratively with GoI partners, supporting institutions and processes to mainstream green growth into development plans and policies, leverage investment in climate change mitigation and adaptation actions, and strengthen the capacity of key national and subnational institutions and actors.

A low-carbon, resilient world of strong, inclusive, and sustainable growth.

A global transition toward a model of green growth. While this is differentiated at the country level, at its core are strategies that simultaneously achieve poverty reduction, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and economic growth.

Five core values – Integrity, Transformational, Inclusive, Boldness, and Excellence – provide the guiding framework for the way we work. We continually engage our people to uphold our values, to embed an organizational culture that is innovative, collaborative and focused on delivering results against our mission as "One GGGI".
